I’ve finished my book + 50 followers!

Uh, okay, so I haven’t been as active in the blogosphere the last couple of days as I usually am. I just honestly needed a break, and I had promised myself I would get my manuscript for The Black Swan Inheritance finished by today. And I have! Yays!

Well, it’s finished as in I’ve finally rewritten the ending after having gone through and edited the rest of it (as far as the plot goes). I still need to read through the whole thing once last time to make sure it all flows and there are two chapters which need to be broken down into smaller chapters but SCREW IT! My story is done. The manuscript isn’t but the story is, so I’m calling mission accomplished! Ha!

I feel exhausted now. I was only working on it for a handful of hours but… oh write. I mean right. I haven’t drunk any water for that time! That’s kind of necessary isn’t it? No wonder I’m all loopy.

And for the second celebration: 50 followers! Wooo! Thank you everyone! I’m going to list you all here just because I want to say thanks to you all, and encourage you to check each other out because you’re all lovely people:

    • Thanks! I wasn’t sure about the title, so I’m glad to hear that someone liked it. I’m going for a ‘Black Swan’ series. First one ‘Inheritance’ second one ‘Triplicate’ (as in, the mother, maiden and crone representation of witchcraft) and third ‘Reckoning’. Or something like that 😛

      • I should do a post soon to ask for feedback about my blurb. Thanks for your interest! It’s a new adult paranormal book, but while it has romance I wouldn’t want to call it romance, because that implies that the love subplot works out 😉 it’s more about power and how a messed up uni student would use it to defend herself, learning to outwit those who want to use her.

  1. Congrats on finishing the manuscrit! I can’t wait to see a cover! The title is interesting. I wonder what it’s all about. 🙂 Oh, and I just saw you added my blog button. Thank you! It looks well with the colors of your blog, hehe. So, are you going to send your book to publishing houses or self-publish? 🙂

    • Self publish, definitely. I’ve had enough of rejection 😛 and having just discovered the wonders of smashwords, I’m actually excited for the future 🙂 thanks for the encouragement. Yes I should start looking for a cover shouldn’t I? So much too do ❤

  2. What an accomplishment! Ahhhh! You rock! Who cares about editing?! Pssshh, the story is out, and that is perfect. Good for you. It is just details from here on out. I am very intrigued by the title. Love that.

    • Thanks! I should do a follow-up post soon to get some feedback on the blurb. I’m glad you like the title. I’m sick of books that have misleading/unrelated titles 😛 it’s a book about a witch who inherits the ‘black swan’ legacy of power. Not related to Swan Lake though that is where I got the connection between swans and magic. I just think black swans are awesome + they’re a native Australian bird.

      • Oh please oh please do a post on the blurb! I’d love to read it!
I agree about the misleading titles thing. Swans are absolutely gorgeous. What a magical bird to pick. I think that is a great connection of the black swan and a witch. Super cool.

      • Ditto! Maybe we can meet in real life sometime. You know, when I am visiting the Sydney Opera House or something 😀 Or when we are rich and famous authors going on world wide book signings. 😉

      • Definitely! One day we’ll be on the same fantasy panel at conventions and going on tag team book signings 😛 I should go visit the US sometime. Maybe in a couple of years I’ll jump over and come visit 🙂
