In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “Fresh.”
Sometimes ‘fresh’ is something as simple as the crisp, clean air you find out in the country. These are photos from when I went down to Ballandean (near the border of NSW) for a weekend to explore the wine country and poke around a bit. I followed the road above to find myself at a beautiful little billabong:
I should go there again sometime. I’ve gone off wine, but it would be nice to just stay at a little cabin out in the country for another weekend 🙂
That really is a beautiful billabong. I stayed at the Girraween Lodges many years ago to explore the area, it was lovey.

You know, I can’t exactly remember where I stayed… it was good though. And I remember it was run by a cousin of my step-mum, so I can just ask her and she’ll know 😉
But yeah, it is a lovely place 🙂

I could easily find myself walking down that road. 🙂

It was lovely to just wander off to see what I could find. Kinda brings me back to when I was a little kid believing in magic and fairies 🙂

Country weekends in a cabin….ahhhh, get me out of the city! I am so blessed to go to school where I do, but the traffic and crowds are getting to me. I am so ready to escape to the wild again. Thank you for the peaceful pictures 🙂

The absence of nature leaves a hole in your soul–I think.
